The Preloved Cub was built by a Townsville mum who believed there had to be a better way. Better quality, and a more inclusive community where every kind of mum and family has a space to feel safe, seen, and supported. You all belong here.
How it started
Born from frustration.
Built with love.
Like most mums, I know how fast little ones grow, and how quickly the costs add up. I spent years searching for quality preloved children's clothing in Townsville and kept walking away disappointed. Tired of sorting through piles of worn-out, overpriced pieces with no guarantees that it was in good condition. Therefore, I decided to build something better.
The Preloved Cub started as a simple idea — a place where Townsville families could trust what they were buying and where no child or family memeber missed out due to the rising cost of living. But it grew into something far more meaningful. A safe space for every kind of mum, at every point in their journey. Whether you're a first time mum finding your feet, an adoptive mum building your nursery and finding clothes for your little cub, a foster mum needing supplies more quickly and accessible, or simply a mum who's done it all before and just wants somewhere she feels at home — there is always a space here for you.
We're here for your little ones' clothes, their baby and kids items, and all the things that make their world brighter and helping to pass on that love to another child. But we're also here for you and your little ones. Because you deserve to feel good too without the heavy price tag. You deserve to find something for yourself and your little ones without the guilt. You deserve the world — and we mean that.
Today, The Preloved Cub is a community. We donate, we support, we show up at markets on Sundays, and we cheer each other on. Because that's what mums do.

Families helping families.
We know the village it takes to raise a child. The Preloved Cub is that village — a place where families look out for one another, where no one goes without, and where giving back is just part of how we do things here.
We host $1 community tubs so every family can access what they need. We gift items free to families experiencing hardship through face to face and through other charity organisations. And every donation that comes through our doors gets that special feeling of being loved again.
But community to us goes beyond the shop floor. We've hosted a Teddy Bear Picnic for our littlest members, runned an Easter Messy Play event for kids to just be kids, and on Mother's Day we hit the streets handing out roses to mums with personal affirmations attached — because sometimes you just need someone to remind you how incredible you are.
